Sopra is an event space available for booking 365 days a year for all kinds of special occasions.
You can book into 1, or both rooms for your event and we will gladly suggest an appropriate table setup for your comfort.

Each event menu is custom created with our team of chefs, coordinators, and of course restaurateur, Paolo Paolini.

Using a simple template, we will build your menu along with you to ensure that all dietary restrictions are met, and all appetites satisfied.

Mistura & Sopra Upper Lounge have catered to some of the most seasoned and discriminating tastes in the city for many successful years, let us show you why they keep coming back.

 We offer a variety of musical options including the simplest: plug your iPod or laptop into our state-of-the-art sound system and get to hear your own specific favourite tunes all night long. 

Sopra has a set of professional DJ equipment and a roster of DJ’s across all genres of music to offer as well. We are always happy to make the recommendation which will best compliment the style of service you aim to provide your guests. 

Sopra works along with several well known Toronto talent agencies to offer other forms of entertainment; from Marilyn Monroe singing Happy Birthday Mr. President, to slight-of-hand magicians, to a photo booth with funny costumes to document your day, we’re happy to find that extra component that will make your guests remember who they want to keep coming back to
party with.

Sopra has 2 available spaces to book into for your private event, meeting, or celebration

Sopra’s “Fireplace Room”



We can host up to 30 guests at 1 long, boardroom style table for a seated dinner, or up to 36 guests at 3 tables for
12 people each.

For a reception or buffet style party, our Fireplace room is suitable for up to 50 stand-up guests to be hosted.

Sopra’s Fireplace room is a completely enclosed space which when the door is closed, with particular exceptions, you do not have to be aware of the main room activities. We can setup various areas within the Fireplace room to create a “Lounge” effect and offer casual seating at small tables for up to approximately 22 guests.
The minimum spend for booking into Sopra’s Fireplace room exclusively is $1,500 plus tax and a staff service charge
of 20% pre-tax.

Sopra’s Fireplace room is opulently interior decorated, with Wine cabinets lining 1 wall and the other peeking out onto Davenport Road, the fireplace room also has mirrored tiling decorating 1 wall, and the entire ceiling creating the effect of a larger space, while dining intimately. The wall switch fireplace is surrounded by Emerald Green Marble work, reflective of the other stone accents in our Sopra venue. There is a flat screen Samsung tucked into the far corner for small group presentations, or to run a background photo reel on during your event.

Although musical options are limited in this space, you may always elect to bring in a player, or turn off the background music pumping in from the main room for a dinner meeting, or presentation of any kind.

 







Sopra’s “Main Room”
 
 
Sopra’s main room can host up to 70 guests for a formal, seated dinner service, or up to 100 for a buffet-style food service. The main room features a line of banquettes which can seat up to 29 guests total, very comfortably.
Using our smaller squares and rectangles, we can set up to 40 (approximate) guests on the main room floor, in a variety of configurations. The largest tables possible in the main room will be 2 squares for up to 20 guests each, or 1 long table for an absolute maximum of 32 guests.

The main room can be used independently of the fireplace room however guests in the fireplace room may need to pass through your event in order to utilize the Sopra facilities on occasion.

Sopra’s main room features the beautiful Wine cellars along one short side of the space near to the entrance way, and a stunning White Onyx bar along the long side of the room, opposite to the banquettes. 

We maintain our bar for private, “open bar” events and generally keep a selection of options stocked which all fall in a certain price range. Concerned about your guests running up the bar bill? We can easily provide you an estimate for the bar spend based on which options you would like available to your guests. Our bar is always charged by consumption exclusively.
Sopra’s main room also features a flat screen Samsung TV, generally tucked out of sight behind our Red velvet curtains, you are welcome to run a laptop presentation, or photo reel with musical accompaniment which can air over our
main room sound system.

The minimum spend for booking into Sopra’s main room exclusively is $3,500 plus tax and a staff service
charge of 20% pre-tax.

The entire second floor of Sopra can be booked for any occasion, the combined minimum spend requirement is $5,000 plus tax and a staff service charge of 20% pre-tax.
If both rooms are utilized over the course of your event, Sopra may elect to specify the minimum spend to 1 of the 2 rooms.
All setup details apply, and we are happy to suggest the best ways to use the space and encourage flow, energy, and accessibility to the bar, and dining areas.
The complete Sopra venue can host up to 100 guests seated, and up to 120 for a stand-up cocktail style event of any kind.

You may predict the start time of your event and the bar stops serving at 2am.
All glassware, patrons, and alcohol service must be cleared by 3am.
