Soul and R&B at it's best!
Shannon Maracle's delivery of a song with her deep, sultry, seductive tone has moved many audiences over the years. Enough can not be said about her talent or her interpretations.
In 1989, Shannon embarked on her quest in the music scene in Toronto by performing in the musical theatre production "Mama I want to sing". Shortly after, she embarked on her solo career developing original arrangements of standards and popular music with longtime partner Washington Savage
As a member of BLAXAM for 6 years, Shannon toured and opened for such acts as Al Greene, Maceo Parker , Corey Glover and Roy Ayres. This also resulted in the recording of their album entitled "Kiss My Afro"
Shannon's career experience ranges from musical theatre to television, jazz festivals to film and television appearances, radio programs and album recordings.
Tragically, Washington Savage passed way in early 2009. These two performances will mark Shannon's return to Sopra, without her beloved mentor, but undoubtedly full of the spirit of love and essence of soul that "Savage Love" came to repesent in their previous residency at the club.
